As the semester winds down, the workload winds up... ready to throw a 99 mph fastball right at your face. This is when studying becomes crucial. The not so secret to balancing may sound easier said than done to most, but it's possible. You can't expect to pass that exam if you don't study. Your heart isn't going to whisper how it's contracting during the exam. You have to sit down and make time to study and understand it. Complaining how hard it is and whining isn't going to help you at all... and it's not making the rest of class any happier listening to you cry about it. So don't procrastinate and manage your time better than you ever have before. This may cause stress but you know what's great for stress? Exercise. Taking 30 minutes out of your day can be beneficial to cognitive and high stress levels.
Nice post Katie! The end of the semester is always the most stressful. Final projects, countless tests in the same week, etc. But taking the time to stay on top of it all, and studying for everything you need to know will make the success of it all possible! Procrastination and whining don't does not get anyone anywhere. It is a slow and progressive process to succeed in any class thats worth it, and basically anything that means something in life. As stated, it is slow, but quoting doesn't speed it up. I also like how you threw exercise in there because it is definitely one of the best ways to take your mind off things and just focus on yourself for a little bit. It will also help keep you concentrated much better after a good workout!
ReplyDeleteAnother good post Katie! I get tired when I hear people complaining about their work loads. We are all busy and some of us still work 30 hours a week at least. Unfortunately, people procrastinate and that is the worst thing to do. As long as people sit down and work on their work in a timely manner, that will reduce a lot of stress.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100% with the exercise, it is a guaranteed way to lose some stress. Anytime i am stressed out, or even slumped about something that happened i go workout or play some basketball. It truly does release a lot of build up emotions and stress. which as you said best, can help with the huge workloads that everyone seems to complain about.
